👨‍🌾 The Story Behind the Coffee

Nestled in the fertile valleys of western Honduras, close to the Guatemalan border, Hacienda Montecristo has been family-owned by the Medina family since 1916. Spanning almost 280 hectares near the town of Veracruz, the farm benefits from the mild subtropical climate of the Mayan Mountains ideal conditions for producing exceptional coffee.

Coffee is at the heart of everything they do. Every cherry is carefully cultivated, harvested, milled and dried with meticulous attention to quality. In recent years, the farm has expanded its solar drying facilities and coffee production while remaining committed to environmentally responsible farming practices. Their focus is simple: produce more outstanding coffee without ever compromising on quality or sustainability.

Today, Hacienda Montecristo continues a proud five-generation family tradition, combining over a century of coffee-growing expertise with modern, sustainable production methods.

🤝 Ethical Sourcing Practices

We believe great coffee should be good for everyone involved, from the people growing it to the people drinking it. We pay responsibly for our green coffee, working with importers and producers who prioritise fair pricing, long term relationships and ethical sourcing.

☕️ Choose your grind

We’ve simplified our grind options to make things easier:

🐾 Whole bean — best if you grind fresh at home.

🐾 Cafetiere grind — for French press/cafetiere brewing.

🐾 Filter grind — for V60, Chemex, drip machines and most pour-over brewers.

🐾 Fine grind — for moka pot and espresso-style brewing.

For traditional espresso machines, we recommend whole beans where possible so you can dial in your grind.
