👨🌾 The Story Behind the Coffee
This coffee is grown on the fertile volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, where rich soils and high altitude create ideal conditions for producing bright, clean coffees. The washed processing method enhances clarity in the cup, allowing the natural sweetness and lively acidity to shine through.
The coffee is sourced from a network of around 200 smallholder farmers, many of whom are members of the Invisible Hands Women’s Initiative, a community organisation focused on recognising and supporting the women who play a vital role in coffee production. A portion of the proceeds is returned to the group and used as seed capital, enabling members to invest in small businesses, education and long term financial stability. This is coffee that supports people as much as it delights in the cup.
