12. Brazil - Andrea Costa
Andrea Costa Brazilian Coffee is grown at Chácara Santo Antônio, a family estate in the Mogiana region of Brazil. The farm was founded in the 1970s by Andrea’s father, who pioneered quality-driven cultivation in the area. Today, Andrea and her brother Luis carry on the legacy, combining traditional farming knowledge with a modern commitment to sustainability. Andrea’s daughter, Bruna, has also stepped into the coffee world, helping to connect the family’s coffees with the specialty market and inspiring new innovation on the estate.
Situated between 800 and 1,100 metres above sea level, the farm benefits from fertile soils and a mild climate, bordered by a protected nature reserve that supports rich biodiversity. A river winds through the property, and the estate integrates horses and cattle into its land management, creating natural compost and supporting a balanced ecosystem.
This lot is Red Catuai, naturally processed, allowing the whole coffee cherry to dry on the bean and intensify sweetness and complexity. The result is a smooth, layered cup with notes of velvety chocolate, buttery macadamia nuts, and delicate jasmine florals. Versatile and balanced, it shines both as a black coffee and paired with milk.
Andrea Costa coffee embodies the essence of Brazilian specialty: a family tradition rooted in the land, cultivated with care for both people and nature.
